This well-respected, Tax & MOT exempt 1979 Yamaha XS1100F has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.

This and the fact it's only showing 28799 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain its boyish good looks.

We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

The bike is missing a battery.

As you can see this bike has a few aftermarket parts fitted – Fork brace, K&N style filters & Kerker 4:1 exhaust system.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.

This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures.

The wheels look straight with nice clean alloy rims, good discs, calipers & working front master cylinder.

Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome & clean alloy.

Mudguards are both solid & tidy.

Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers.

Instruments & switches look good.

Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.

Paintwork is solid, fuel tank is squeaky-clean inside and has just minor dents/marks & scratches in the original paint.

Seat base is in good condition throughout but cover has some punctures.

Indicators are tidy.

The engine is cosmetically clean - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.

e.g. if you live 40 miles away it will cost £80.

Minimum charge £45.

National deliveries start at £195 inc for a standard size motorcycle to most mainland destinations –

Larger bikes or destinations in Scotland, Cornwall or within the M25 area will cost more.
