1986 Kawasaki VN750A Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project
This 1986 Kawasaki VN750A Vulcan has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 18547 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – L/h mirror being the most obvious. It has stood a while, so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres & seat cover are perished. Sadly, the throttle cables are not connected & l/h switch is broken.
This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures. The wheels look straight with working brakes. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments look good. Paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside. Exhausts are original & appear to be solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean, it turns over nicely off a boost battery but doesn't seem to be sparking so we haven't had it running.
