1984 Honda VF1100SC V65 Sabre Unregistered US Import Classic Restoration Project
This well-respected 1984 Honda VF1100SC Sabre or V65 as it was known in USA (65 cubic inch capacity) has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike is virtually complete missing just the Honda badge from the bottom yoke. It is also remarkably original, but for the nice Corbin seat. It has stood a while, so the clutch master cylinder isn’t working. Sadly, the side stand & bracket has broken off the frame & will require welding back on.
This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from 39 years ago & it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A great find!. The wheels look straight with nice clean alloy rims, good discs, calipers & working master cylinders. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguard is solid. Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look good. Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. Paintwork is solid, fuel tank is squeaky-clean inside and has just minor dents/marks & scratches in the original paint. Exhausts are original & appear to be solid. Seat is in very good condition throughout. Indicators are tidy.
The engine is cosmetically quite clean - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention......don't fret we didn't run it long.
