1981 Kawasaki KZ650H1 CSR Unregistered US Import Classic Restoration Project
This Tax and MOT exempt 1981 Kawasaki KZ650H1 CSR has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing –start button and light toggle off the RH switch gear being the most obvious.
The wheels are straight but there are a few marks to the alloy rims. The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl but the rim has taken a knock. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The paintwork is sadly peeling, fuel tank has some rust inside. The indicators are tidy. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are straight but there is a small dent in the front on the LH side. The standard exhaust is solid. The engine is cosmetically clean.
BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery and fed fresh fuel through the carbs we had it firing/running & revving but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
