1973 Suzuki GT750K Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project
This well-respected and much sought after 1973 Suzuki GT750K has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Battery and LH mirror being the most obvious. We also noted that the LH mirror has snapped off in the thread, the lower LH exhaust is rotten underneath and much of the bright chrome is very slightly pitted.
The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims. The forks and yokes look straight and gators are intact. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl. Instruments look ok and switches move freely. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The paintwork is slightly faded and has a few marks as to be expected. We have been unable to access the tank to check internal condition. The seat base is in good condition throughout. The indicators are straight but the chrome backs are pitted. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are straight but lightly pitted and the front has a smal dent.
The engine is cosmetically clean. BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a booster battery and fed fresh fuel through the carb we had it firing/running & revving.
