1976 Honda GL1000 Unregistered US Import Classic Running Restoration Project
This well-respected and much sought-after Tax & MOT exempt 1976 Honda GL1000 Goldwing has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 8917 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – start button and lever rubbers being the most obvious. The end pipe on the RH exhaust has broken off. It has obviously stood a while so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded & pinstripes are peeling, front brake isn't working, chrome is peeling badly on the front mudguard and a bit on the rear, tyres are perished & seat cover is torn.
The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running & revving briefly using and auxillary tank to feed fresh fuel through the system but the carbs will require some attention.
We are selling this bike as a trade clearance project so make us an offer and get started.
