1975 Yamaha DT400B Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project
This well-respected and much sought after 1975 Yamaha DT400B has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours
As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded, a few bits non-standard & a few bits are very nice indeed.
The rear wheel is straight but the rear rim has a very slight dent and the alloy is clean. The forks and yokes look straight but are pitted near the yokes. The headlight and bowl are good. The fuel tank is sadly rusted inside. The front mudguard is cracked and the rear is solid but has some rust. The standard exhaust is solid.
Sadly the engine is seized, hopefully it will be through standing around forever but we have not inspected the engine internally so we have no idea why/how it has seized.
