1977 Honda CB550K Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project
Thiswell-respected, Tax and MOT exempt, 1977 Honda CB550K has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike appears to be complete. However, the seat cover is torn, the RH top silencer is cut off and rotten and the lower LH silencer also has holes.
The wheels are straight with just a few small rust spots. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl. Instruments and switches look ok.The paintwork is slightly faded with a few marks throughout. The fuel tank is reasonably clean inside but there are a few rust spots. The seat base is in good condition throughout. The indicators are tidy. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are straight and bright.
The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running briefly on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
