This Tax & MOT exempt 1981 Yamaha XS400SE Special has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life.
This and the fact it's only showing 2941 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain some of its boyish good looks.
We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – L/h mirror, ignition key, fork dust seals & side panel badges being the most obvious.
It has stood a while, so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres are perished & carburettors are stuck.BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.
The wheels look straight with clean chrome rims, good hubs & brake plates.
Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome & clean alloy.
Mudguards are both solid.
Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers.
Instruments & switches look good.
Paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside and has just minor dents/marks & scratches in the original paint.
Exhausts are original & solid.
Seat is in good condition throughout.
Indicators are tidy.
The engine is cosmetically clean - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
