1989 Honda XL250S Unregistered Japanese Import Classic Restoration Project

This well-respected and much sought after 1989 Honda XL250S has recently been imported from Japan where its spent all of its life. As you can see it's got a few bits missing; LH mirror and ignition key being the most obvious. The Tailight lens is cracked, there are holes in the silencer and much of the chrome is rusty/pitted. The wheels look straight but the alloy is oxidised. Forks look straight but are rust pitted. Headlight looks ok but the rim is badly pitted and the bowl has a few marks. Indicators and tailight ASSY look ok. The carb is free-sliding off the twist grip. Instruments look ok bar some scratches on the plastic cover and the switches move freely. The chainguard and mudguards are straight and solid. The tank is clean inside but the outside has some scratches. The engine turns over with spark but is low on compression so we haven't had it running.We are selling this bike as a trade clearance project so make us an offer and get started!
