This well-respected, iconic Tax & MOT exempt 1977 Yamaha XT500D Enduro has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 1467 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain its boyish good looks. As you can see this bike is complete & remarkably original. The wheels are straight with nice clean rims, good hubs & brake plates, spokes & tyres.Forks look straight with good chrome and gators are intact.Mudguards are both solid & are very tidy.Taillight Assy is good as are the headlight & hangers but there is a small scrape to the headlight rim.Indicators are tidy.Instruments look ok and switches move freely.Carburettor is free sliding off the twist grip.Fuel tank is squeaky-clean inside and has minor imperfections in the paint.Exhaust is original & is tidySeat is in good condition throughout.Shock absorbers are damping fine. The engine is cosmetically very clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression, BUT BEST OF ALL when we fed it fresh fuel, gave it a few prods it fires, starts, runs, revs & rides.We are selling this bike as a trade clearance project so make us an offer and get started!
