This tax and MOT exempt 1980 Kawasaki KZ650E LTD has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Battery, RH mirror and light toggle off the RH switch gear being the most obvious. We also noted that; the seat cover is torn, the indicators, the airfilters and the clocks are non-standard. Switches are quite stiff, there's a large dent in the RH side of the tank and the tank is rusty inside.
The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy.
The forks and yokes look straight but are pitted.
The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl.
Instrument look ok.
The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.
The paintwork is slightly faded and has some marks throughout.
The seat base is in good condition throughout.
The chain guard is solid but the chome is peeling.
Both mud guards are solid.
The exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean. BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a boost battery and fed fresh fuel through the carb we had it firing/running & revving on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
