1980 Honda XL250S Enduro Unregistered US Import Classic Restoration Project VIN: MD015204135 Stock No: 96060 This well-respected, and very much sought-after Tax & MOT exempt 1980 Honda XL250S has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life
This and the fact it's only showing 8518 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain its boyish good looks

As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Mirrors, r/h side panel & exhaust heat shield being the most obvious
It has stood a while, so the battery is flat, chain is rusty, tyres are perished & choke cable is stuck
BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS
The wheels look straight with nice clean alloy rims, good hubs & brake plates
Forks & yokes look straight with useable chrome
Mudguards are both solid
Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers
Instruments look good
Carburettor is ree sliding off the twist grip
Paintwork is solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside and has just minor dents/marks & scratches in the original paint
Exhaust is non-original & solid
Seat is in good condition throughout
The engine is cosmetically clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression, BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel, gave it a few prods it fires, starts, runs & revs but it is obvious the carb needs attention
