1980 Yamaha XS1100 Midnight Special Unregistered US Import Classic Restoration Project

This well-respected and much sought after 1980 Yamaha XS1100 Midnight Special has recently been imported From North America where its spent all its life. As you can see the bike appears to be quite complete however we did note; the seat cover is torn, the RH rear indicator lens is broken, there are dents in the end of both silencers and there are some rust scabs in the paintwork. The wheels look straight with clean alloy rims. The forks look straight with mostly good chrome. Headlight, tailight and indicators all look ok. Instruments look ok and switches move freely. The carb is free-sliding off the twist grip. The tank has some muck on the inside but feels solid. The seat base is solid but there is some surface rust. Mudguards are straight and solid. When we hooked it up to a booster battery and fed fresh fuel directly to the carb we had it firing, running and revving on fuel but the carb and tank will require some attention.We are selling this bike as a trade clearance project so make us an offer and get started!
