1971 Yamaha XS1B 650 Unregistered US Import Classic Restoration Project Matching Frame and Engine: S650-008084 Stock Number: 97681 This well-respected and much sought after 1971 Yamaha XS1B 650 has recently been imported from North America where its spent all its life
As you can see there are a few bits missing and a few bits broken
The front wheel is buckled, the front mudguard is chewed up and the tank is very grotty inside and is dented

The forks look straight but are pitted
Headlight bowl, lens and rim look ok
The tailight looks ok
the rear mudguard looks straight and solid
The seat base looks/feels solid but there is surface rust present
The exhausts are dented but they do feel solid
The chainguard is bright but has a small dent
When we hooked it up to a good battery we had it firing/running briefly on easy start spray but the carbs and fuel system will require some attention
