1972 Yamaha CS5 200 Unregistered US Import Classic Restoration Project Matching Frame and Engine: CS3205614 Stock Number: 97851 This well-respected, tax and MOT exempt, 1972 Yamaha CS5 200 has recently been imported from North America where its spent all its life
The bike looks pretty complete, missing just the ball-end off the clutch lever from what we can see
The wheels look straight but there are rust spots of the bright chrome rims
The forks look straight but slightly pitted
Headlight, tailight and indicators look ok
Instruments look ok and switches move freely
The tank is very grotty inside but feels solid underneath
There are a few rust scabs in the original paintwork
The exhausts feel solid but there is some rust in the chrome
Mudguards are straight and solid but the front has a small dent
The carb is free-sliding off the twist grip
The seat base is solid but there is some surface rust
The chainguard is tidy
When we hooked it up to a boost battery we had it firing/running on easystart spray but its obvious that the tank and fuel syatem will require some attention
