This very tidy looking Kawasaki VN800 tourer has recently been
imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 20,087 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
While it looks entirely plausible, we have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.
The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. Not that this bike needs or deserves restoring LOOK AT IT they are only ever original 1/once!!!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES.

As you can see this bike is all there but the carburettors are stuck and the choke needs attention.
BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures from ** years ago & it is every bit as nice as it looks here.....A great find!.
The wheels look straight with nice clean chrome alloy rims, good hubs & brake plates, disc, caliper & working master cylinder.
Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome & clean alloy.
Mudguards are both solid & are very tidy.
Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers.
Instruments & switches look good.
Paintwork is solid, fuel tank needs a key
Exhausts are original & solid.
Seat base is in very good condition throughout.
Indicators are tidy.
Chain guard is tidy.
Shock absorbers are damping fine.
The engine is cosmetically very clean, it turns over nicely off button – sounds/feels great. - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention......don't fret we didn't run it long. BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel, gave it a few prods it fires, starts, runs & revs but it is obvious the carbs need attention.
