1980 Kawasaki KZ1000G Classic Stunning Original Bike Running Restoration Project VIN: KZT00G501023 Stock No: 97779 This well-respected, and very much sought-after Tax & MOT exempt 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000G-1 Classic has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours

This and the fact it's only showing 4973 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain its boyish good looks

While it looks entirely plausible, we have been unable to confirm this mileage reading

As you can see this bike is complete & remarkably original

It has stood a while, so the battery is flat, tyres are perished, rear brake master cylinder is not working, tank is lightly rusted inside

Sadly, the seat cover has a black tape repair on the l/h side edge

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS

This is the actual bike you are bidding on – Not library pictures

The wheels look straight with nice clean alloy, good discs, calipers & working front master cylinder

Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome & clean alloy

Mudguards are both solid & are very tidy

Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers

Instruments & switches look good

Throttles are free sliding off the twist grip

Paintwork is solid, fuel tank has just minor marks & scratches in the original paint

Exhausts are original, solid & very presentable

Seat is in very good condition throughout

Indicators are tidy

Chain guard is tidy as is the grab rail

Shock absorbers are damping fine

The engine is cosmetically very clean BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel, it fires, starts, runs & revs
