1980 Honda XL250S Unregistered US Import Classic Restoration Project

This well-respected and much sought after 1980 Honda XL250S has recently been imported from North America where its spent all its life. As you can see its got a few bits missing; ignition key, mirrors and ball-end off the front brake lever being the most obvious. There is a large dent in the RH side of the tank, the seat cover is torn, there is a chip in the front mudguard and the silencer is holed. The wheels look straight with a few marks to the alloy rims. Forks look straight but are slightly pitted. Headlight, indicators and tailight ASSY look good but the tailight lens has a hairline crack. Instruments look ok and switches move freely. The tank has a bit of rust inside but feels solid underneath. The chainguard and rear mudguard are straight and solid. When we hooked it up to a good battery and fed easy start spray into the air intake we had it firing/running but the carb and fuels system will require some attention.We are selling this bike as a trade clearance project so make us an offer and get started!
